PC in using half-way and restart again

PC in using half-way and restart.

Sometime is able run it till 2-3 hours long and restart suddenly.

but sometime just 10 to 15 mins will restart.

Especially when CD-ROM is running, it will within 2-3mins get restart.

1stly suspect is power supply problem but not. After change a new one problem still remain.

Unplugged CD-ROM, problem still same.

After format system problem still remain.

Lastly, after change CPU then everything in fine.

After Shutdown PC will turn on itself

XP systemis working fine.

But everytime after PC completely shutdown and PC will restart again.

After swapped all the parts in the system unit (CPU, Power supply, RAM, Graphic Card), BIOS cleared and upgraded. Problem remain.

Suspect Mother Board faulty.

After change a new motherboard then everthing be fine.

XP Folder Sharing

When the folder you need to share out to someone and the person who has the same domain as you. You just to add his/her Domain ID into the folder(Permission).

SO that after user has logon to his/her system and able directly use the sharing folder.

Ways to Activate your NIC

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

netsh winsock reset global
netsh int ipv4 reset global
netsh int ipv6 reset global

Disable the IP Helper service:

1. Hold the Windows key and type R, enter "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
2. Scroll down to the IP Helper service, right click on it and select Properties
3. In the dropdown box that says "Automatic" or "Manual", set it to Disabled and then click on "Apply"
4. Then click on "Stop" to stop the service from running in the current session
5. Click OK to exit the dialog

Disable IPv6:

1. Hold the Windows key and type R, enter "ncpa.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter
2. Right click on each network connection and select "Properties"
3. Remove the checkmark from the box next to "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)
4. Click OK to exit the dialog

NOTE: You should do this for each network connection.


Disable the DHCP Broadcast Flag:

1. Hold the Windows key and type R, enter regedit and press Enter.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Inter faces\{GUID}
4. In this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey to be updated.
5. If the key DhcpConnForceBroadcastFlag does not exist, use the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value. In the New Value #1 box, type DhcpConnForceBroadcastFlag, and then press ENTER. If the key exists, skip this step.
6. Right-click DhcpConnForceBroadcastFlag, and then click Modify.
7. In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
8. Close Registry Editor.

NOTE: You should do this for each and every GUID subkey.
NOTE2: (GUID) is a mnemonic for the individual subkeys, the actual text "GUID" does not appaer.

Logon Windows Vista as Administrator

Warning: Running as Administrator in Windows Vista bypasses all security (UAC) and is NOT recommended. If you decide to use the Administrator account don’t complain when you start having problems.

Enable the Administrator Account
Open the command prompt with Administrative privileges by opening the Start Menu, and typing cmd in the search box, and then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter or click the Start orb, All Programs, Accessories, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
Type the following in the command prompt and press Enter after:

net user administrator /active:yes

Restart your computer and logon as Administrator.
Note: You might want to set a password for the administrator’s account for at least a little protection.

Disable the Administrative Account
To disable the Administrative account run the Net User command demonstrated above while logged on an account with administrative privileges but not as the Administrator account and replace yes with no.
